Adults are looking to make the most of their marriages and families as well as leaving a lasting impression on this world. The Men’s and Women’s Ministries are an avenue to meeting these needs. Our Prayer Ministry is active and growing. They have a real heart for people and desire to meet needs through their faith in God to answer prayers requested on the behalf of others. Community Involvement is another priority in the heart and purpose of River Bend Baptist Church. We reach out to our community several times a year in various ways.
The men of River Bend grow in Christ and in their friendship with others through Bible Studies, prayer groups, and activites such as:
- Golf tournaments
- Skeet shooting
- Bible Studies
We encourage each other and search for wisdom from the Bible to help us become better fathers, honor our commitments to our marriages and careers, as well as other aspects of our lives. Call John Boaz and get connected at 281-620-0739.

Amazing Grace Quilters
“If you can sew, we can teach you to quilt.” Mona Follis heads up this group of quilters on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. If you enjoy crafting then why not give quilting a try?
Bring a brown bag lunch, your sewing machine with your normal sewing tools, and any scraps you can share to make charity quilts. The quilt made will be given to children’s shelters, Redeemed Ministries (where young women go after being rescued from the sex trafficking trade), nursing homes, and to RBBC families in an emergency crisis.
Invite your friends to participate, membership at River Bend is not a requirement. Contact Mona Follis at 281-827-9545 with questions and further information.
SonShine Sisters meets on the last Monday of each month at 10:30 am in E2. This fellowship of ladies (widowed, divorced, separated, unmarried) meets monthly to minister to each other through support, learning, prayer and food! The program offers a range of activities throughout the year and welcomes any woman living on their own to join them.
“Table Top – What’s that?” you ask.
This is a letter of explanation.
“Table Top” is an annual event sponsored by the RBBC Women’s Ministry open to all women of the church, their friends, and the community. The evening includes entertainment and food. A delicious meal is catered and the men of the church serve as waiters (bow ties provided).
Women in the church agree to decorate a table (hence the name, Table Top) and act as hostess for that table. The decorated tables, prepared the night before, reflect a Bible verse or thought and are designed to bring you joy. It is a real treat to be surrounded by all the beauty of the vastly different tables, and to bond with other women enjoying the same beauty, which in a small way replicates the unlimited beauty our God has created with the words of his mouth. Each hostess prepares a special gift in keeping with her table theme for each of her guests to take home as a memento of the evening.
Door prizes from local people and businesses are also given.
For any questions, please contact Tricia via email or 281.693.5237. I look forward to another fun-filled year with you creative and generous ladies! If you didn’t sign up, but would like to, Tricia is still accepting forms. When she has enough to pair ladies up, she will do so.
Women’s Ministry “Deck the Halls” Ornament Exchange is Tuesday, December 11, at 7:00 PM at River Bend. Childcare available by reservation for children ages birth to grade 5. Sign up here.
Prayer is a foundational element in the life of River Bend Baptist Church. The prayer ministry encourages us to allow God to work when we are worried and other Christians to intercede in times of need on our behalf. Prayer requests are sent out weekly to the prayer team. This group is dedicated to praying over the specific requests and needs. If you have a prayer need, e-mail Pray@RiverBendBC.org.
We are actively involved in the lives of those in our church, but the community is another area where we want to show God’s love. Throughout the year we invest our energies into activities that benefit the community such as:
- Sponsoring local children’s sports teams
- City of Fulshear events
- Bike for Mike
- Just Ride for a Just Cause
