Youth Ministry
Students enjoy being with other students, and River Bend is a great place for them to enjoy group activities. We provide an environment to challenge and equip students to better prepare them for their future. This is accomplished through youth oriented Bible study, retreats, camps, and other fun activities. Students in grades 6th through 12th are invited to participate in all our activities and events. Don’t forget to invite your friends, they will be glad you did!
Where’s Waljo?
On Monday, January 16, our youth will head to Katy Mills Mall to find Waljo. Bring money for food and personal shopping. We will leave the church at 12:00 p.m. and return at 4:00 p.m.
Jump Start (Youth Bible Study)
On Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m., youth are encouraged to attend a high energy w
orship service geared toward their specific needs. Youth are led in worship by our student-run praise band. God’s Word is presented in a devotional format that challenges and encourages students in their faith. Games and fun events are included in this high impact hour and half. Jump Start is for all youth in grades 6th through 12th.
Cliffhangers (Cell Groups)
This in-
home cell group ministry is for students in grades 6th through 12th. Cliffhangers is age-oriented to better meet the different challenges facing students in today’s world. Our Sunday night studies begin at 5:00 p.m. and end at 6:30 p.m. The studies are selected by students in order to better equip them spiritually for the ever-growing challenges facing them at home and in school.
Mpact (Youth Choir and Puppets)
Thro
ughout the year, students have the opportunity to lead in worship through youth choir. The choir and drama group meets on Sunday nights at 6:30 p.m. Each year, participants take a mission trip to make a difference in the name of Christ.
Youth Camp and Mission Trips
Students take a fresh look at scripture and have a great time with students from other churches in the area during summer youth camp. Mission trips have included participation in Vacation Bible School in churches, hurricane clean-up, and church repairs.
