Local Mission Work

In November and December, we serve our community through Season of Giving.  This is a time when we serve others through blanket giveaways, providing a Christmas party for underprivileged children, working with Family Hope to provide food for over 900 individuals, and many other ministry activities.

For over 15 years we have supported students with Christian Bible clubs at Wertheimer Middle School, Leaman Jr. High School, Briscoe Jr. High School, Foster High School, and Fulshear High School.  These clubs meet before school and allow students to grow in their faith and to develop relationships with other Christian students.

Working with Family Hope of Fulshear, we help families in our area with a monthly food giveaway which assists over 900 people a month.  We help refugee families living in our area as they struggle to relocate.  Also, a parenting class is offered to families in our area who need encouragement and help with parenting.

A unique ministry we have been involved with for many years is the South Texas Children Home (STCH) located near Beeville, Texas.  They provide counseling for families in crisis and care for children who no longer can safely stay at home.

John and Pam Boaz, River Bend members, established “Lord Send Me Ministries, Inc.” in September 2010.  This non-profit organization exists to form an alliance of volunteers, personnel, and partners to promote the gospel of Jesus Christ, to support national and international churches, and to offer assistance to hurting people.  John and Pam help those who are in need, feed thousands who have been devastated by natural disasters, and helped rebuild homes flooded by Hurricane Harvey.  Financial contributions, one-time or ongoing, can be sent to:
