COVID-19 Response

River Bend Family,

As you are aware, the school districts in our area have cancelled classes because of COVID-19 for an undetermined length of time. In addition, our national and local health officials are asking that we not gather in large groups and to practice social distancing. As of now, all activities for the week of March 15 are cancelled, including the Women’s Ministry Tea. We will continue to evaluate the situation as it develops and communicate future plans to our church family on a weekly basis.

I want to let you know that we are taking this action out of an abundance of caution. No one at River Bend has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or is presumed to have it. Our concern is for your safety, especially those who have a suppressed immune system.

CARING SERVANTS:  Some of you, because of health or age, should not be going to the store or anywhere else. I am putting together a group I am calling Caring Servants who will go for you. If you need something or you need help, give us a call at 281-346-2279, and we will get someone to come help. If you want to be a part of this new Caring Servants group, please call us to volunteer.

This is not the time to fear, but it is the time to be prudent and careful, but more than that, this is the time to take care of one another and show love.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 Pastor John
