Let the “new” begin!
I will be honest with you. Sometimes I do not like new things. There are moments when I am perfectly fine with old things, even if the new things work better, faster, and are sometimes less expensive. The old things feel comfortable, are connected to great memories, and often…make me feel good. Old cars, old clothes, old recipes, and old friends…all of these make me feel warm inside.
There are many things in life you do not have to change, and you will be just fine. You can choose not to update your phone or your computer, hold-off buying the latest TV, microwave, or Air Fryer. Your life will go on and be perfectly fine without the latest version, update, or edition. However, there is one area of your life where you cannot refuse to change. In fact, to refuse to change is to take a step backwards. God is always calling us to move forward in our walk with Him. He always wants us to change in order to grow closer to Him. He always wants us to make adjustments in our life, which will help us better reflect who He is to the world. When it comes to our God, we must always be willing to change in order to move into the “new” He is creating just for you.
What “new” is God going to move you into this year? When He leads you there, say “yes”, and you will be amazed how quickly God’s “new for you” feels much better than the old you were fighting to let go of.
Isaiah 43:18, “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.”
Isaiah 43:19, “Behold, I am doing a new thing.”
Revelation 21:5, “Behold, I am making all things new.”
Ephesians 4:24, “And put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.”
