Amazing Grace Quilters
“If you can sew, we can teach you to quilt.” Mona Follis heads up this group of quilters on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. If you enjoy crafting then why not give quilting a try?
Bring a brown bag lunch, your sewing machine with your normal sewing tools, and any scraps you can share to make charity quilts. The quilt made will be given to children’s shelters, Redeemed Ministries (where young women go after being rescued from the sex trafficking trade), nursing homes, and to RBBC families in an emergency crisis.
Invite your friends to participate, membership at River Bend is not a requirement. Contact Mona Follis at 281-827-9545 with questions and further information.
“Table Top – What’s that?” you ask.
“Table Top” is an annual event sponsored by the RBBC Women’s Ministry open to all women of the church, their friends, and the community. Women in the church agree to decorate a table (hence the name, Table Top) and act as hostess for that table. The evening includes entertainment and food. A delicious meal is catered and the men of the church serve as waiters (bow ties provided). This year’s theme is “My Favorite Things.” Save the date now so you don’t miss out on this fun evening ~ Wednesday, September 2, at 6:30 PM. Childcare is available by reservation for children ages birth to grade 5.
