The Women’s Ministry purpose is to develop and strengthen relationships while helping women grow closer to the Lord. We accomplish this through activities such as:

  • Bible Studies
  • Discussion groups
  • Social opportunities: Table Top and Annual Conference

Floats & Quotes Ice Cream Social is Saturday, July 27 at 2:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. This is a free event for all River Bend ladies and friends! Click here to sign up so we have plenty of ice cream for all! Childcare available by reservation.

Precept Bible Study

Precept Bible Study meets on Thursday mornings at 9:30 am in E2.  The ladies are currently studying the book of Isaiah, Part 1.  Book cost is $20. For information, please contact Darlene Irvin. Resumes Thursday, August 29.

SonShine Sisters

SonShine Sisters is a fellowship of women (widowed, separated, divorced, unmarried) that meet to minister to each other through support, learning, prayer, and food.  We plan happy events, outings, movies, guest speakers, games and, of course, lunch together throughout the year.  Contact Sylvia Batha at 832-535-3232 for more information.

Amazing Grace Quilters

“If you can sew, we can teach you to quilt.” Mona Follis heads up this group of quilters on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. If you enjoy crafting then why not give quilting a try?

Bring a brown bag lunch, your sewing machine with your normal sewing tools, and any scraps you can share to make charity quilts. The quilt made will be given to children’s shelters, Redeemed Ministries (where young women go after being rescued from the sex trafficking trade), nursing homes, and to RBBC families in an emergency crisis.

Invite your friends to participate, membership at River Bend is not a requirement. Contact Mona Follis at 281-827-9545 with questions and further information.

“Table Top – What’s that?” you ask.

“Table Top” is an annual event sponsored by the RBBC Women’s Ministry open to all women of the church, their friends, and the community.  Women in the church agree to decorate a table (hence the name, Table Top) and act as hostess for that table.  The evening includes entertainment and food.   A delicious meal  is catered and the men of the church serve as waiters (bow ties provided). Save the date now so you don’t miss out on this fun evening ~ Tuesday, September 24, at 7:00 PM. Childcare is available by reservation for children ages birth to grade 5.
