Session 7

God has a lot more to                     then the people.

When God speaks,                                then

The book of Malachi is summed up with this statement;                    people meet a        God.

Assertion from God 3:13a

“Your words are                    against Me.”

Questioning from Israel 3:13b

“What have we                         against you?”

Response from God 3:14-15

Implication from God 3:16-4:6

What do you think God heard the Israelites say?

Ephesians 4:29

No foul (unwholesome)  language is to  come from your        _, but only what is good for building up someone in need, so that it gives grace to those who hear.

Romans 14:19

Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to                       and to mutual edification. (and do not destroy the works of God…)

words lead to difficult situations but there are Bible verses which can help.

1 Peter 4:8

Above all, love each other deeply, because           covers over a multitude of sins.

Colossians 3:13 ESV

Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another,

each other; as the Lord has                           you, so you also must . .

What kind of unwholesome things do people speak about God?

In the Book of Malachi the people accuse God of…

Not                                 them.

Not                        them.

Not                                     for them.

Not                                 for them

For blessing                 _

For not punishing the                    _

For letting the unjust get away with their                       acts.

The Israelites are                            themselves to the people around them and instead of seeing the sinfulness of their neighbors they focus on what they think are injustices or                                                        of God.

God chooses to  live out His opening statement; “I have                       you” and “Because I Yahweh, have not changed, you descendants of Jacob have not been .”

God will send judgment but He will also continue to show His                 _

God’s judgement will be                  _,the proud and the sinful will be destroyed.

But there is hope for those who                          God’s name.

Honoring God brings and                 and the people who honor God will see His                           poured out.

God is powerful enough to              _

God is powerful enough to                         _

God is powerful enough to                   in marvelous ways.

God is powerful enough to                          _

If John the Baptizer is this Elijah then the words “great and terrible” are use to describe the ministry of                _

How is Jesus ministry both great and terrible?

Jesus ministry is a                       and a promise of eternal life all who believe but a terrible                             for all who refuse to accept Him.
