Ministry opportunities to serve our community!

Season of Giving 2018 is comprised of six ministry projects that will give the River Bend family opportunities with which they can serve our community.  Please pray about how God could use you.  You can sign-up in the following ways:

Unwrapping Christmas – Saturday, December 1

RBBC will provide digital devotionals and family activities to help you and your loved ones dig into the significance of Christmas.  Encourage your friends and family to visit during the Christmas season.  The “unwrapping” will be available beginning Saturday, December 1.

Photo & Video Team – Individuals are needed to take pictures and video as teams complete projects.

Fulshear Christmas ParadeSaturday, December 1, at 5:30 pm

Construct floats, provide actors and carolers for the Christmas parade.

The Ballard HouseTuesday, December 4, at 5:30 pm

Prepare and serve a meal on Tuesday, December 4, at 5:30 pm to out-of-town families living at the Ballard House due to a family member receiving long-term medical care.  We will also lead  a Christmas carol sing-a-long.

Family Hope Food FairSaturday, December 8, 7:30 – 10:00 am

Sort food and load into people’s vehicles during the monthly Family Hope Food Fair at Parkway Fellowship on Saturday, December 8, 7:30 – 10:00 am.  Family Hope  Food Fair provides food for families in need in our community.

Angel Tree – Saturday, December 15, at 10:00 am

Angel Tree is a program of Prison Fellowship that connects parents in prison with their children through the delivery of Christmas gifts. Local church volunteers purchase and deliver gifts and the Gospel to children in the name of their prisoner-parent.  River Bend will provide gifts for 40 children whose parent is in prison.  Host a Christmas party at River Bend on Saturday, December 15, at 10:00 am to distribute gifts to the families.

Celebrate Light December 20 – 23, 6:30 – 8:30 pm

Install Christmas light display pieces for this outdoor family event.  We also need hosts and hostesses for this outdoor walk-through Christmas light experience for the family.  This event takes place on the evenings of December 20 – 23, 6:30 – 8:30 pm.
