Mission Statement

Love God and Love Others

Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37-39

Loving God…

We love God when we worship Him.

Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! Psalm 95:6

(Psalm 150:6, Psalm 145:3, Luke 4:8, Isaiah 12:5)

We love God through discipleship, as we become like Jesus.

Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did. 1 John 2:6

(Galatians 2:20, 1 Corinthians 11:1, John 3:30, Romans 12:2)

We love God with the obedience and trust we place in Him.

And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. 2 John 1:6

(Luke 11:28, Jeremiah 7:23, Acts 5:29, 1 Samuel 15:22, Proverbs 3:5-6)

We love God as we give to Him.

“…God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7

(Luke 6:38, Malachi 3:10, Proverbs 3:9-10, Haggai 2:8, Leviticus 27:30)

We love God as we pray.

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16

(Matthew 18:20, Jeremiah 33:3, Psalm 145:18, Colossians 4:2)

Loving Others…

We love others when we tell them about Jesus and the salvation He offers.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not die but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

(John 14:16, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9, Acts 4:12, Romans 10:9, Titus 3:5)

We love others when we teach the truths found in the Bible

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:16

(Matthew 24:35,  Isaiah 55:11, Joshua 1:8,  Psalm 119:105, Matthew 4: 4)

We love others when we fellowship and care for them.

That which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.  1 John 1:3

(Acts 2:42, 1 John 1:7, 1 Corinthians 1:9, Proverbs 19:7, Deuteronomy 15:11)

We love others through ministry and mission both locally and abroad.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

(John 13:35, Ephesians 2:20-22, Mark 10:45, Acts 20:24, Matthew 5:16)

We love others as we go and give in Jesus’ name.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

(Romans 10:13-15,  John 13:34, Matthew 25:35-46; Proverbs 3:27, Luke 3:11)
